Map: Lancashire. Monochrome map with very rich detail including cities, place names and rivers. The title is presented in a plain cartouche, top right. Below this is a table indicating: 'Reference to the Hundreds'. There is a simple compass rose centre. Latitude and longitude are marked around the edges. Bottom right is a scale bar showing: 'British Statute Miles 69 to a Degree'. Along the bottom left is printed: 'Haywood del.' Centre is printed: 'London, England, engraved for J. Harrison, 115 Newgate Street, as the Act directs, July 24. 1789'. Bottom right is printed: 'Sudlow Sculp.' (partially obscured).
