Description:
Print 113: Bush, gum trees, etc, Gully at the head of Double Bay, including my own portrait (Jevons) done entirely by myself. The photograph is in a collection of photographs of Australia, taken or compiled by William Stanley Jevons during the 1850s. Between 1854-1859 Jevons was employed as assayer at the Sydney mint and also carried out detailed social surveys of the city's slums.
