Print 72: From the roof of the Mint Office: Darlinghurst, Woolloomooloo, Colonial Architects' Office, Government Domain & Park, Immigration Depot, roof of Mint workshops. The photograph is in a collection of photographs of Australia, taken or compiled by William Stanley Jevons during the 1850s. Between 1854-1859 Jevons was employed as assayer at the Sydney mint and also carried out detailed social surveys of the city's slums.
