Binding: Inside upper cover, showing the Roxburghe coat of arms. This Valdarfer edition of Boccaccio's 'Decameron' was sold by the Duke of Roxburghe in 1812. Its sale initiated the founding of the Roxburghe Club by leading bibliophiles of the period. Its first president was the Second Earl Spencer.
