Dante Alighieri 'La Commedia' printed by Bonino Bonini with Commentator. This is the first edition to have an extended series of illustrations for the poem. Contains Inf. 6.49 - Inf. 6.75 and Commentator by Cristoforo Landino on Inf. 6. The text of the poem is found on the left hand side of the page, surrounded by the Commentator. There are ink corrections to the printed text. There are also the annotations: ' Ed io anima triste non son sola, che tutte queste a simil pena stanno', 'per simil colpa; e più non fe'parola. gli risposi'.
