Collection of short anthems, hymns, etc. copied 1833-48 by Joseph Lees. Music ascribed to Be[a]umount, J. Clark, Crab, Deane, Fawcet, Leach, Mayer, Sellers, Stanley, Walker, White (almost no ascriptions past p.19). 12 staves, with music almost all on 3- or 4- stave systems and often crossing centre of opening, with up to for pieces per opening. Some are provided with text. Contemporary index on inside cover, continuing to both front fly-leaves and recto of rear fly-leaf. On p.1: 'Joseph Lees His Book October 27. 1833'. On rear fly-leaf (recto): Mr John Lees His Book 1848...'.
