Description:
Internal view of a densely furnished room. In the far wall are two doors. There are two glass chandeliers with distinctive spherical glass shades. One hanging from a decorative ceiling rose and the other a partial visible rose. The two visible walls have a patterned wall paper. From the walls hang numerous (unidentified) framed paintings and fine examples of Victorian furniture. There is a white, [marble] mantelpiece with a metal fireplace central to the room. On top of the mantelpiece sit a range of decorative, [porcelain], vases. There is a piano placed against the wall. On a small occasional table to the forefront of the image is a glass dome covering a small white ornamental bird bath with 3 birds balancing on the side of it. There is a bold patterned carpet. The photograph is signed in the negative J.Mudd & Son
