Description:
Internal view dominated by a black and white [tiled] decorated floor. It is a high ceilinged room with partially wood panel lining the walls. There are two elaborate chandeliers with ball shaped light shades hung from circular ceiling roses. There is a large stone fireplace, where the over mantel is decorated with the coat of arms of the 2nd Earl of Warrington. (This features a shield with boar on either side). There is a bust of a male figure placed on top of the over mantel shelf. There is a patterned rug in front of the wrought iron fire guard. There are two plinths with small sculptured figures on, [possibly 17th century marble statuettes of Dacian Kings]. It has three marbled topped tables visible. There is a walnut high-back chair c1690, and a carved walnut hall-bench c1695 against the far wall. The panels are hung with numerous unidentified paintings. There are two doors at the far side of the room.
