A wave of graffiti hit the Manchester University campus at the end of 1969 and the beginning of 1970 forming part of the student protests at the prospective appointment of Arthur Armitage to the role of University Vice Chancellor in succession to the retiring Mansfield Cooper. The shot shows the eastern facade of the Whitworth Hall.
