Description:
|
Princess Augusta notes that she was awake at four that morning and had found all her presents but could not take a look at them for fear of disturbing 'Gooly and the Princess Royal'. At a half past six the maid came to make the fire and Augusta awoke a second time. She liked her presents very much 'and when I came to the Beautiful little purse you was so good as to give me I was as happy as a Queen'. Dated at Windsor.
