Biblical verses in Judeo-Arabic
Subject:
Bible
Description:
Hebrew Biblical verses written in Arabic script; the words are written in black ink, the Tiberian vowels in red ink. Badly torn and mutilated. Only the margins and the last/first words of each line were left. Most of the words are pretty common words in the Bible (va-yomer; ha-davar…), which makes it difficult to assert which verses are included here (perhaps of Samuel?). Probably of Karaite origin, as the Karaites are the only group known to have transcribed the Bible into Arabic script.
