Description:
Illuminated thirteenth-century Antiphoner, Latin manuscript written in Italy, in fine black hand. 9 lines of text and 9 of music on 4-line stave to a page. One line of each stave is yellow, another in red. Bound in old brown stamped leather, with cable and other patterns over wooden boards. Metal corners with flat bosses, ornaments and straps on both covers: on the front cover four pins for strap-fastenings. The straps have been replaced and the he binding has been extensively repaired in modern times .
