Description:

Canticles; hymns. Hymnus in Nativitate Domini: 'Veni redemptor...'. Incipit: Hymni in pascha Domini ad matutinam: 'Te lucis auctor...'. The title 'Ad vesperum in pascha Domini' is apparently original, but the text is later; a note of the 13th century (?) 'Non canitur' is interlineated. '[V]ita sanctorum decus angelorum. The verses are in two columns of 32 lines, in black Carolingian minuscule with titles in red uncials. The initial letter of each verse is capitalised and infilled with colour. Large, decorated initials introduce each canticle. In the margin, in a fine, small hand: 'Christe redemptor omnium...'.
