Manuscript of 'Smaragdus's Commentary on the Rule of St Benedict'. The binding is brown leather over wooden boards. Green and red ink is used extensively throughout the manuscript. There are 27 lines to a page. Written in the 9th century [late] or 10th century [early], in a Visigothic minuscule, on lines ruled with dry point.
