Sapience (Wisdom). The text begins imperfectly at Chapter 1 : 8 and ends at 2 : 1 ' þe tyme of oure lijf is litil '. Red rubrication and a red and blue ink pen-flourished initial ' F ' introduce chapter 2. An abbreviated running title ' Sapience ' appears in the top margin in red rubrication. A faint folio number 206 is written in pencil in the top right margin. There are ink marks on the vellum, appearing to be impressions from a heavily decorated previous folio, which has been removed. The written space is 160 x 108 mm. There are two columns of text, each having 24 lines.
