The text begins with half of the verse of 2 : 17, omitting the whole of Chapter 3, and starts again at 4 : 6 ' j schal go to þe mou(n)teyn of myrre ' up to ' wellynge watris: þ(a)t flowen wiþ fresnesse fro '. A running title 'of songis' appears in the top margin in red rubrication. A faint folio number 203 is written in pencil in the top right margin. The written space is 160 x 108 mm. There are two columns of text, each having 24 lines.
