The words ' Edward 3 ' appear in the top margin. 'Cap CCxxiv' appears in pencil in the left margin. The tale of how a flood of the Tweed at Berwick temporarily prevents the rebel Scots army fighting the two kings. Four rubrics introduce lists of names of men in the rebel Scots garrisons. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.
