The words ' Edward I ' are written in the top margin. The tale of Sir Symond Frisell. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial ' A ' introduce the tale of Sir John, Earl of Atheles (Athol). The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.
