lefte alife come þo to don feaute and homage vnto þe king as to here kinde lorde: and þo lete king Edward amende þe la- wes of Walys þat were defectif // And after he sente vnto al le þe lordes of Wales by his l(et)re patent þey shulde comen alle to his p(ar)lement. and whanne þey were comen: þe king saide to ham ful curtaisleche. lordinges ȝe beth welcome: and me byho- ueth ȝoure counceil and ȝoure helpe for to wende in to Gascoyne. for to amende þe trespas(e) þat to me was þ(er)e done. whanne þat y was there and for to entrete of pees bituene þe king of Aragou(~) and þe p(ri)nce of Morrey // And alle þe kinges liege me(~). Erles and Barouns. consentede and g(ra)untede þ(er)too: and þo wente þ(e) king. in to Gascoigne and lete amende þe trespasse þ(t) him was done in Gascoigne and of þe debate þ(t) was bituene þe king of Ara goun(~) and þe p(ri)nce of Morrey. he cessede and made ham accorded // And while þe good king Edwarde and Alianore his Quene were in Gascoigne: þ(e) good erl of Cornewaile was made war deyne of Engelonde til þ(t) king Edward come aȝen: and þo con querede he of his traitours þat coniectede falsnesse aȝen him & ech of ham alle vnd(er)fenge here dome after þat þey had deser ued // But in þ(e) mene tyme while þat king Edward was by ȝounde þe see to done ham for to make amendeȝ þ(t) aȝens him had trespassed: a fals þeef a traitour þ(t) me callede Rys op Mer iedok. bigan for to make werre aȝens king Edward. and þat was for enchesoun of S(ire) Payn Typtott wrongfully greuede and dissesede þe forsaide Rys op. Meriedok // And whanne king Edwarde herde al þis he sente by his l(et)res to Rys op M(er)iedok þat he shulde bigynne for to make no werre but þ(t) he shulde ben in pees for his loue and whanne þat he come aȝen in to Engelond he wolde vndertake þe querele and wolde done amende al þat was mysdone // þe forsaide Rys op M(er)iedok despisede þe king(es) com(~)aundeme(~)t and sparede noȝt for to done al þe sorwe þat he myghte to þe kinges men [of] of Engelonde. but anon after was taken and lad to ȝork and þere he was drawe and honged for his felonye
