Description:
Pricke of Conscience: part five. The text begins imperfectly here after some missing pages. English verse on doomsday. On how the dead will be resurrected and those who were sinful will be ugly to look upon. A section in Latin appears in the text introduced by a pen-flourished initial 'Q' in blue and red ink. The written space is 190 x 87 mm, 33 long lines and the hand is anglicana formata.

The authorship is very often ascribed to Richard Rolle of Hampole, a prolific 14th-century hermit and mystic, but modern scholarship has cast doubt over this assertion and has instead ascribed the work to a different and anonymous writer.
